Anita was born in 1991. She was adopted from a Mother Theresa’s Orphanage in Sri Lanka when she was 3 months old. She is very special and dearly loved by us. She has a great impact on everyone she meets too. To our surprise Anita is gifted in the subjects we both taught-Science and Art.

Like many children she has always drawn and painted pictures. At the age of 8 she started making miniature quilts. After a holiday to Disney World in Florida, she made a bigger quilt using fabric she chose from a shop in USA to remind her of her trip to USA. She has entered quilts and artwork at the local Mac Naughton -Howe Competition that is held annually. She has won first prizes in several categories, cash prizes and even a shield in 2004. As you can imagine she was very happy ‘puppy’ (our nick name for her).
